Cup Tasters QUalifying Competition
For the 2019 season of the United States Cup Tasters Championship there will be two Qualifying Competitions leading up to the national championship. In order to move on to USCTC, Tasters must first qualify at the U.S. CoffeeChamps in Denver, CO or Nashville, TN.
Each Qualifying Competition will host 36 competitors, for a total of 72 spots.

Registration Fee: $215
SCA/BGA/RG/CTG members get 2 free attendee passes for their coaches/helpers
Registrations are non-refundable/non-transferable. The name on the registration is the competitor, this cannot be changed or substituted. Companies holding In-House Competitions will need to have their competitor’s name ready prior to the start of registration.
The competition will sell out very quickly! Be sure to have everything you need to register ready prior to registration opening.

Fast and fun, the U.S. Cup Tasters Qualifying Competition challenges competitors to test their sensory skills by discerning taste differences in a “triangulation.” Tasters receive 6 sets of three cups where two cups are identical and one is different. Competitors are challenged to taste, smell, recall, and choose the unique cup in each triangulation.
The person with the most correct answers in the shortest amount of time wins!
Online Learning Sessions
The Online Learning Sessions are for competitors and judges. The U.S. Competitions Working Group will go over the Rules & Regulations, highlighting any Rules changes, and competition procedures.
Online Learning Sessions are mandatory.
These sessions will be recorded; those who cannot attend the live session(s) may watch the recordings. However, attendance at a live session is highly recommended, so everyone has the opportunity to ask questions about the Rules & judging protocols.
Sessions are open to everyone. Competitors, coaches, co-workers, business owners, judges, and volunteers are welcome to attend both sessions.
