United states Brewers cup

The United States Brewers Cup (USBrC) is an exciting competition that highlights and celebrates the art of manual brewing. Competitors will perform three services, Compulsory, Open Service, and Serve The Audience. Compulsory & Open Service are judged by skilled coffee tasters. The Compulsory is a blind tasting, the competitors all brew the same coffee on their chosen manual devices. During Open Service competitors will brew and present their chosen coffee to the judges panel.

Road to the U.S. Brewers Cup Championship

In 2017, there will be two events leading up to USBrC that will include qualifying events for all of the U.S. Coffee Championships. Brewers will need to compete at a CoffeeChamps event to qualify for the national championship. There will be 36 Brewers Cup competitors at each Qualifying Competition.

The top 12 competitors from each of the two CoffeeChamps events will go on to compete in the U.S. Coffee Championships in Seattle, WA, from April 21 - 23, 2017. The winner of the U.S. Brewers Cup will represent the United States in the World Brewers Cup Championship. The World Brewers Cup will take place June 13 - 15, 2017 in Budapest, Hungary!

Important Competitor Registration Information and Updates for Qualifying Events

For the purpose of transparency and access to the competition, we have reduced the rules for regions and number of competitors per company. However, our intent is to have a broad representation of competitors from across the U.S.

We encourage you to hold In-House Competitions to send one competitor per company per competition. Please see a template for In-House Brewers Cup Competitions here.

Registration will be a two stage process showing live time-stamped entries from all competitor registrants & waitlist. Waitlist competitors will have 48 hours to complete and pay for registration. After 48 hours we will move to the next competitor in line on the waitlist.
